Seasonal Flu Clinic Information
UPDATED: Seasonal flu vaccine will be available at the remaining VNA H1N1 clinics through February. Seasonal flu vaccine can also be obtained at the VNA by appointment only on Tuesdays from noon to 4 pm through March 9. Call 860-4467 to schedule an appointment.
Medicare B or Medicaid cards are required for vaccine at no charge. All others will pay a $25 fee.
H1N1Flu (Swine Flu) Information
NOTE: There are no VNA public H1N1 flu vaccination clinics scheduled in Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties at this time. We will let you know if this changes at all. Thank you.
Vaccinations are provided at no charge and no documentation or insurance cards are needed to be vaccinated. The vaccine will be delivered on a first come, first served basis at these clinics.
The clinics are now open to the general public and anyone over 6 months of age will be given a vaccine. We do encourage anyone in the following priority groups who has not received the vaccine to attend one of the clinics. The priority groups include:
- Pregnant women
- Health care and Emergency Medical services personnel
- Persons who live with or provide care for infants younger than 6 months of age
- Any people from 6 months of age through 24 years of age
- Persons age 25-64 years old with medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza complications such as:
- Cancer
- Blood disorders (including sickle cell disease)
- Chronic lung disease (such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD)
- Diabetes
- Heart disease
- Kidney disorders
- Liver disorders
- Neurological disorders (such as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, brain or spinal cord injuries, moderate to profound intellectual disability (mental retardation) or developmental delay)
- Neuromuscular disorders (such as muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis)
- Weakened immune systems (such as people with HIV or AIDS or who are on medications that weaken the immune system)
