Vermont Respite House

This VNA End-of-Life Care program is a home away from home for people with terminal illness – a place where they can live the remainder of their days in peace, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Founded in 1991, this home for the terminally ill utilizes the expertise of skilled VNA caregivers and volunteers who are dedicated to providing a warm, caring and personalized environment for people in the final stages of life.

The house has 13 private rooms with baths and each room contains a pull-out sofa which guests can use for overnight visits or for longer stays.

Vermont Respite House is a unique model in health care today, not a hospital, nursing home or institution. This is the first and currently only Medicare-certified inpatient hospice residence in Vermont.

Take a virtual tour of our facilities to see how this house truly is a supportive, loving home away from home for its residents and their family and friends.
