Life Income Gifts

Thank you for considering a Life Income gift for your VNA. Life Income gifts accomplish two worthy goals at once: Helping your VNA continue to provide the highest quality home health care for our community for generations to come, and ensuring financial security for you and your loved ones. Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts are two ways that you can support your VNA and maintain an income stream for your rest of your life.

Charitable Gift Annuities

A charitable gift annuity is a contract between the VNA and you. You can receive significant tax benefits this year, receive guaranteed regular income payments for life, and support the VNA’s care today and into the future.

How does it work?

You transfer assets to the VNA; in return, we agree to make regular, fixed payments to you for the rest of your life. Upon your death, the remainder stays with the VNA. The transaction is both a purchase of an annuity and a charitable contribution. VNA offers gift annuities to individuals 60 years of age or older with a starting gift of $10,000.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

By establishing a Charitable Remainder Trust, you and other beneficiaries can receive income for life or for a set number of years. When the trust expires the balance goes to support the mission of the VNA.

How does it work?

You make an irrevocable transfer of cash, securities or other property to the trust. You will receive lifetime annual payments as well as significant tax benefits. When the trust terminates, the remaining trust property comes to the VNA.
